From the 1 January 2015 to be VAT registered company that imports goods account for and pay VAT on imports directly to the Tax, instead of as today to Customs. If you are not registered for VAT, or if you are VAT registered but importing a product to be used only for private use, you should instead turn to the Customs Service.
